XBOX LIVE VISION CAMERA

So I just bought my XBOX LIVE Vision Camera yesterday, and it is a pretty nifty piece of hardware for the 360.  Aside from the fact that you can put yourself in the games, you can video chat with your friends.

The camera itself is VGA, so I assume the resolution is 640×480, which all things considered is pretty good quality.  Considering that for my £34.99 I got one month of XBOX Live Gold and a free copy of UNO included.  I haven’t tried UNO yet, but from what I hear it is really good.  The game I used for it was TopemBall, which is free from the Marketplace for a limited time.   Basically you move your arms to control a ball to collect pieces of a toem poll.  THe game is fun, but very tiring.

It doesn’t just stop at the games.  When you are in the dashboard, the camera is recording your moves in the background of your theme.  And when you interact with objects around your room, the background ripples.  A very nice touch.

Sceptics amongst us will ultimately call this an EyeToy ripoff.  But everyone else will just consider it a fun way to interact with our games on the 360.
